1. Pre-contracting phase

In the period from the Monitoring Committee (MC) decision until a Grant Letter is issued, the JS desk officer will approach the Lead Partner and have regular exchanges on any pre-contracting actions in the MC decision to agree on required updates to the application.

When the necessary information has been provided by the Lead Partner and programme bodies, the JS Desk Officer updates the project application in Jems. (In the future, Jems will allow Lead Partners to directly update their application form).

The Managing Authority will finalise their pre-contracting checks. The Desk Officer might get back to the Lead Partner in case of questions. If no further clarification is needed, the project status will change to contracted and the Lead Partner will receive the Grant Letter signed by the programme via email.

The project status is changed to “Approved” in the system, thus unlocking the "Contracting” section.
